Indivisible West Contra Costa County (IWCCC) was formed in February 2025 in response to the Trump administration’s Project 2025 plan to undermine the US economy and democracy. A handful of concerned citizens met in a home in El Sobrante and began holding weekly protests at the intersection of Appian Way at 4080 San Pablo Dam Road, in the heart of the business district. We held an organizing meeting, joined forces with mobilize.us activists and other local groups and since then have grown to a regular core of 40-60 “Good Trouble” protestors. Our No Kings protests have drawn up to 800 people.
We formed a leadership team and have been holding monthly community meetings at the Good Table Cafe, 5166 Sobrante Ave, El Sobrante, on the last Sunday of the month at 3:30 pm. We take direct actions like sign making, post-carding, phoning, texting, networking, community organizing, lobbying and other events. Our primary focus now is to protect the elections and get out the vote in November. After the election we will transition to the next level.

Who is Indivisible? Indivisible is a progressive movement and organization in the USA that was initiated in 2016 as a response to the election of Donald Trump. It began with the publication of a handbook by former congressional staffers, aimed at helping citizens resist the rightward shift in government and has since grown into a nationwide grassroots movement of over 2500 local organizations. Indivisible hosts statewide and national planning meetings on zoom every week.
The national network of activists provides tools, training, research, and strategic coordination so people can take effective action—whether that means protecting free and fair elections, stopping harmful legislation, or demanding bold solutions to the challenges we face. Together, we are indivisible.
The word indivisible is taken from the US Pledge of Allegiance from the phrase, “indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Un puñado de ciudadanos preocupados se reunió en una casa de El Sobrante y comenzó a celebrar protestas semanales en la intersección de Appian Way en 4080 San Pablo Dam Road, en el corazón del distrito empresarial.
